How could I forget one of my favorite (and earliest discovered) examples of animating a piece of classical music? Despite its cuts and edits, it’s still pure genius:

    Classic! Thanks for posting this, brings back so many memories :-) Smurfs, Tom & Jerry, the Fantasia cartoons; amazing how much classical music was used in them.

    I know right! Except I wasn’t as consciously aware of its presence when I saw them all as a kid.

    You have excellent taste in cartoons!
    My young children love them today as much as I did as a child.
    We have always wanted to watch a programme of the orchestra recording sessions but haven’t yet found one.
    I’m sure they had a blast!

    Thanks Anna! This was always one of my favorites as a kid. I remember it was the last one on the VHS tape :)
